Professional Biography

Emma began her legal education at the Open University, where she obtained her Bachelor of Law Honours degree in 2013. She continued her professional training at The Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, completing her qualifications in 2018. Before joining Simpson Millar in April 2024, Emma gained substantial experience in Clinical Negligence at various other firms. She started her career as an assistant and swiftly advanced to manage her own caseload.

Emma's legal expertise was initially built over three years in General Personal Injury and one year in Industrial Disease. She has gained over six years of experience in assisting clients who have suffered from negligent medical treatment across various specialties, including oncology, gynaecology, dental care, general practice, and orthopaedics. She has also provided crucial support to many families dealing with the loss of loved ones due to negligent medical treatment.

Emma’s day-to-day responsibilities include handling Medical Negligence cases of varying complexity from start to finish. This involves obtaining and reviewing medical records, liaising with medical experts and third parties, and gathering sufficient evidence to negotiate the best possible settlements for her clients.
