Sahera Khanam

Sahera joined Simpson Millar in December 2013, working in our Education Law and Community Care department.

She supports our Court of Protection team of fee-earning solicitors, as well as other members of the Court of Protection team.

Her work mainly involves helping when a vulnerable adult wants to challenge an authorisation which deprives them of their liberty, or where there are disagreements over an individual’s capacity or best interests.

Our team is regularly instructed by Independent Mental Capacity Advocates (IMCAs), Relevant Persons Representatives, paid and unpaid (RPPRs/RPRs), and the Official Solicitor, but also by family members, carers or friends of individuals who lack capacity.
