Robyn is particularly experienced in challenges to Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) under Section 21A of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 (where a person lacking mental capacity is under continuous supervision and not free to leave their place of residence, requiring legal review to determine if this is in their best interests).

She also acts in best interests cases under Section 16 of the Mental Capacity Act 2005, where the Court of Protection decides on key aspects of a person’s life, such as their residence, care arrangements, and relationships. Robyn regularly represents protected parties and, where appropriate, family members in these proceedings.
