Lucy Martin is a Paralegal in our Serious Injury department, based in our Manchester office.

Professional Biography

Lucy graduated with a 2:1 in Law (LLB Hons) from The University of Law in 2020. Her legal career began in a small law firm where she initially worked as a customer service agent, gaining valuable insights into the claims process. She transitioned to a Paralegal role within the same firm in September 2022, where her tasks included legal drafting and research, particularly focusing on Undisclosed Commissions for mortgage claims.

Lucy joined Simpson Millar in December 2023, stepping into the Personal Injury sector. Her work now primarily involves Employer’s and Public Liability cases. Since joining, Lucy has quickly adapted to the demands of the role, growing her knowledge and skills in legal document preparation, and case management. Her responsibilities have expanded to include attending court trials, submitting claims, and preparing court bundles.

Lucy's daily responsibilities include supporting Solicitors in managing Personal Injury and Road Traffic Accident cases. She is proficient at drafting critical legal documents such as Letters of Claim and witness statements. Lucy also plays a key role in coordinating with clients, medical agencies, and counsel to ensure the smooth progression of claims and support the team's efforts in delivering successful outcomes.
