Professional Biography
Completing his Master’s Degree in Law from Northumbria University in 2022 was just the beginning of Keir’s journey in the legal world. He soon joined the National Centre for Domestic Violence, where he assisted victims of domestic abuse in applying for protective court orders against their abusers. This experience enhanced his understanding of the complexities abuse survivors face, making him an invaluable asset.
When he joined Simpson Millar in June 2023, Keir brought this wealth of experience to the Abuse team. Working closely with our solicitors, Keir assists in building cases for those who have suffered abuse. This includes not only pursuing Civil Claims but also guiding clients through the processes of applying to the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority.
With a strong drive to help people, Keir is deeply committed to assisting clients who have suffered abuse. He always aims to ensure they receive not only the compensation they rightfully deserve but also the acknowledgment of the pain they've faced. Keir recognises the emotional strain that comes with discussing past traumas. He uses his natural empathy and gained skills to offer unmatched support, ensuring that clients feel understood and respected throughout their case.
A standout quality that Keir brings to the table is his ability to talk to clients about their past in a compassionate way, making them feel comfortable opening up. He ensures that each client's story is heard, understood, and treated with the utmost respect. This not only fosters trust but also creates a supportive environment where clients feel empowered to seek the justice they deserve.
