Eve is a Graduate Solicitor Apprentice within our Public Law and Human Rights team, based in London.
Professional Biography
Eve studied Classics at the University of Cambridge and graduated in 2019. She went on to complete a Law Conversion Master’s at BPP University in 2020, where she received the Dean of the Law School full-fee scholarship for academic achievement. During her time at the University, Eve volunteered at BPP’s pro bono housing advice clinic, helping members of the public understand their rights and access advice and support. She later worked as a researcher for a non-profit law firm, contributing to a report exploring how certain criminal law policies may have led to unfair outcomes based on nationality.
Eve joined Simpson Millar in 2020 as a Paralegal in our Public Law and Human Rights team. She is now part of our Solicitor Qualification Programme and is due to qualify as a Solicitor in late 2025. As part of her training, she has gained experience in both our Education and Children’s Rights and Child Care Proceedings teams. She supported on a wide range of matters in both teams, including SEND Tribunal appeals, education judicial reviews, and Care Proceedings in the Family Court.
In her current role, Eve works on a variety of public law cases, including judicial reviews and civil claims against public authorities. She has particular experience helping vulnerable children and adults, including victims of trafficking, lone parents and unaccompanied child asylum seekers. She currently works on a wide range of cases, including age assessments, asylum and trafficking support challenges, and complex unlawful detention claims.
Eve was part of the team representing a Claimant in the landmark Court of Appeal case MD & Anor v Secretary of State for the Home Department.
