Professional Biography

Darren began his academic journey at University College London (UCL), where he earned a BSc in Genetics and later completed his PhD at the same institution. He transitioned into law by attending BPP Law School, where he achieved a Postgraduate Diploma in Law.

Dr. Conway qualified as a Solicitor in 2003. Before his legal career, he was involved in genetics research, working on projects aimed at identifying genetic causes of specific neurological conditions at prestigious institutions such as the Institute of Neurology at UCL and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in the USA.

Since retraining as a Solicitor, Darren has specialised in representing both adults and children who have suffered avoidable injuries and losses due to medical neglect or clinical treatment. His unique background in molecular genetics enables him to navigate complex medical and legal issues with ease, making him particularly proficient in handling clinical negligence claims. These include cases involving injuries around the time of birth, such as Cerebral Palsy caused by hypoxic-ischaemic injury, and cases related to inherited conditions and neurological injuries.
